Side effects of yoga without instructor, at home


If there is good in anything, there must be some bad too. In every matter there are two opposite phenomenon like, good-bad, secure-insecure, healthy-unhealthy, etc. Similarly, Yoga has many positive assurances as well as negative or side-effects. We need to know both of everything while practicing or owning anything. I’ve seen many people do yoga without instructor, just by watching through DVD and TV programs. No doubt, you can learn a lot from there; but who will be responsible if anything wrong happen to you. So, at first know; what’re the side effects of Yoga without instructor, at home.


Basic techniques to know before Yoga:


  1. Time-frame: You should learn and know the timing particular postures of Yoga, so that you shouldn’t perform more than that time to get any side effects. 
  2. Accurate Posture: There are hundreds of postures in Yoga and one can’t go properly without any instructor. So, learning the posture is very much important in Yoga. Wrong posture may cause negative impact on your body and mind.
  3. Health benefits: There are some yoga for particular diseases and health benefits. If you’re going for a particular purpose, then must learn and know the rules or practicing and doing yoga. For better health or treatment must consult a yoga trainer at first.
  4. Diet: You must take balanced, nutritional and Sattvic diet. Preparation of diet chart is must for a regular yoga player. Take proper advice of diet plan; know the Sattvic foods, value of nutrition in food etc while doing yoga.
  5. Side effects: Basically if you’re teaching through online, TV or DVD, the mentor will not tell the side effects. In addition, there is no scope of asking about the side effects of yoga. Hence, better to know side effects at first.


Side effects of Yoga:


  1. The most common side effects practicing yoga is physically injury, neck pain, back pain, joint pain, wrist pain, pulling muscles, ankle pain, vertigo etc. 
  2. During Hatha Yoga, if not properly practised may cause to gastric and indigestion like stomach issues in body.
  3. Reform of obesity may cause if you left practicing yoga after maintaining your weight.
  4. The breathing techniques which need to perform during yoga can cause lot of mental disorder if not properly done. 
  5. Nausea, drowsiness, anxiety, migraine etc. also may cause due to improper yoga or practicing yoga without instructor.
